The Cornhusker Hotel
The name "The Cornhusker" has been a fixture in Lincoln, Nebraska since 1926, and has been a part of the economic, political, and leisure activities of our vibrant community for over 75 years. The current Cornhusker Hotel opened in December of 1983, magnificently replacing the building that stood for so long. The vision of owner David H. Murdock, The Cornhusker features Georgian architecture, lavishly colorful decor, hand painted murals, a spiral grand staircase in the lobby, and unique "saw tooth" windows on the building's exterior. One of Lincoln's most beloved restaurants, the Terrace Grille, opened in 1995. Located on the first floor of The Cornhusker, the Terrace Grille offers fresh cuisine in a colorful, asual setting, boasting an array of hand painted murals that allow guests to see the world without leaving their tables.
